Safety

# Your shop account is the one thing automation can't risk.

TikTok Shop sellers lose accounts over shared logins, screen-scraping tools and spammy messages. Tidecollab is built the other way around: official APIs, written limits, and a person who switches each automation live. Here is exactly how.

## Dry run, then a gate, then live

Every outreach agent, Auto Review agent and sequence is created in dry run. In dry run it works on your real audience and real requests, and writes down what it would do: "would invite", "would approve", "would send". Nothing reaches TikTok.

When the log looks right, an owner or admin switches that one agent live. Members can build agents and stop a running one, but they can't make one live. Changing a live Auto Review agent or a live sequence also needs an owner or admin.

1

### Build

Any member sets the audience, rules and messages.

2

### Dry run

The agent records each action it would take. You read the log.

3

### Go live

An owner or admin switches it on. Any team member can stop it.

## Limits that are part of the product

These aren't settings you have to remember to turn on. They apply to every agent in your shop.

### 5 DMs per creator, per week

At most 5 successful live messages to the same creator in 7 days, counted across outreach, rejection messages and sequences together. Dry-run, failed and skipped messages don't count.

### TikTok's own quotas, read from TikTok

Agents read the weekly outreach quota from TikTok Shop and stop with "weekly quota" as the reason when it's used up. The daily invite and search limits are tracked too.

### Follow-ups that stop

At most two follow-ups after a first message, and they stop when the creator replies or requests a sample.

### No guessing on unclear results

If TikTok's answer to a send or a decision is unclear, Tidecollab marks it "uncertain" and never retries it blindly. A person checks.

### Messages that can't go out half-written

A placeholder that can't be filled stops that message. Words TikTok rejects in invites are caught before sending.

### Sending hours

Agents and sequences send only during the hours and time zone you set, up to the daily cap you choose.

## Official TikTok Shop APIs. No passwords, no screen automation.

### You connect through TikTok

You authorize Tidecollab on TikTok's own authorization page and choose the shop. You can remove that authorization from TikTok Shop Seller Center whenever you want.

### We never ask for your login

No Seller Center password, no login codes, no "add us as a user" requests, and no tools that click through Seller Center for you.

### Encrypted tokens

The access tokens TikTok issues are encrypted before they are stored and are used only by Tidecollab's server.

### Where we are with TikTok

We are completing TikTok Shop's partner review for creator collaboration access. Until it is approved, Tidecollab runs on a simulated TikTok Shop built from the official API specs, and no live shop is connected.

[Data & TikTok permissions: what we request and why](https://tidecollab.com/data)

## A record of who did what, and why

Every invite, message and sample decision is stored with the agent, the rule or person behind it, the mode it ran in, and TikTok's answer. When someone asks why a creator was rejected, you can show them.

## Moving from another tool, one module at a time

Already using another tool for samples or outreach? Set Tidecollab as record-only for that module. It reads, decides on paper, and you compare its log with the real decisions. When they match, hand the module over. Two tools never make live decisions for the same module at once.

## Your data stays in your workspace

Each brand is a workspace. Notes, tags, lists, segments, messages and sample decisions carry their workspace and are only shown inside it; a request for another brand's record gets the same "not found" as one that doesn't exist. Public creator profile data from TikTok's marketplace is the same for everyone and is cached to keep searches fast. You can export your lists and logs to CSV whenever you want.
